BOGMALO BEACH

     A DAY AT PBOGMALO BEACH

Bogmalo Beach is a small beach-side village in Goa, India. It is situated in a small bay with around a mile of curving sandy beach. The beach is located about 4 kilometres from Dabolim Airport and 9 kilometres from the port town of Vasco da Gama.

intrusive tourist. water sports life guards clean beach. stay at the resort and dip in the swimming pool after a splash in the sea. they have a in-house spa too and sea facing rooms.If you want to enjoy the sea, overlooking from the rooms this is the best place. The beach is neat and less crowded.


 you would get to see beautiful view of Arabian Sea with many food shacks. The Bogmalo Beach is a pretty little bay just below the Dabolim airport plateau, on the southern side. The beach is around 600-700m in length end to end, at low tide.

Though obviously it can't be compared with the endless sandy stretches at Colva & Calangute, Bogmalo has its own charm 
The beach has its fair share of shops, shacks including high end like Joets and John Seagull, a couple of star hotels and several guest houses in the vicinity. Life guards are on duty throughout the day. A small friendly gang of stray dogs and a couple of harmless bulls have made the beach their home! The surrounding village still retains its old world charm and the locals are polite and friendly.
On weekdays there aren't any crowds and the beach is quite inviting cleaners are deployed to keep the beach clean.  In the evenings, locals from Vasco and surrounds also come to enjoy the beach. Weekends can be crowded though its fun to people watch. In season, the local fisherfolk offer boat rides to Isla Grande which can be seen from the beach. Dolphin watching rides are available too. We once saw them throughout the day from the beach itself,. 
All in all, the Bogmalo Beach is nice if you are staying near the airport or dont want to travel far..

CABO DE RAMA FORT

INTRODUCTION TO CABO DE RAMA  Portuguese claimed the  Cabo de Rama  Fort after defeating the Raja (King) of Soonda and renovated it subsequently. In the past, the fort has switched hands between Hindu, Muslim monarchs and the Portuguese and witnessed many battles in history. The present rickety structure with turrets and rusty cannons is a leftover of the Portuguese. The Portuguese equipped it with 21 guns and military barracks, as well as commandant quarters and a chapel. It was abandoned when the Portuguese left this place. Later, this fort housed a government prison till 1955 and was abandoned again.
